Bodhi Shop and Library

Last week, we decided to visit the Bodhi shop and library located inside La Bella Hotel in Neogan, Tagaytay.

We arrived around 3 in the afternoon. And luckily there's no people but there's an ongoing construction around the library. Upon entering we can smell essential ols. They have handmade soaps, essential oils, crystals and many other products that you can try.AF924CDE-5EEE-4580-8434-042CA95ED9DB-748-0000002C84F2DFFC.jpgWe checked their roof deck first.

We're still enjoying the view and the chilly weather but we had to go down because it's drizzling.
Get to know the Bodhi Shop and Library

The word Bodhi is derived from the name of a tree, Bodhi Tree where Gautama Siddharta, now known as Buddha, had his “enlightenment”. This important value in life is the essence of Bodhi Shop, the newest shop for the mind and body in Tagaytay.

1531153258364 DSC_0649Upon seeing the library Zoe's eyes sparkled as she loves books too much. She can't hide her excitement to search for good books. 1531154448041Then she told me "mommy, let's read book." Reading is one of our bonding and Im happy Im raising a reader. Thankful I found this hidden gem in Tagaytay. There's a lot of books here. Almost thousand of books are from the owner's collection. Some were donated by her close friends. This place feels like heaven for bookworms. After awhile Zoe got hungry. But they only have waffles, hot chocolate and coffee with herbs on their menu.Look at her little hands, so excited to eat already. Haha We got 2 waffles with chocolate, 1 waffle with whipped cream, hot chocolate and coffee.

Zoe is tired here already and don't want to smile anymore.
Verdict:

We'll definitely go back!

⭐️The place is so instagramable. I really love the interior.

⭐️Too many books and you'll go crazy about it. Especially for the bookworms.

⭐️The waffles are okay. It's premade already and priced at 85 pesos each either it whipped cream or chocolate syrup. We love their coffee with herbs and hot chocolate priced at 50 pesos each. They also sell the coffee in their shop.

‼️They close early. Maybe because no one usually go there.

‼️We didn't had the chance to roam around because there's too many insects already. As the place is surrounded by trees. So don't forget to bring insect repellants.

✨ Ofcourse we can't leave the place without having a sneak peak of the hotel. Don't worry they have this El Cocinero Restaurant and another one in the hotel if you guys wish to dine. We don't get to eat as we don't have time anymore.Upon seeing the paintings Zoe told me "Wow! I'll paint like that someday." She's really an artist in the making. Look at that swimming pool! Can't wait to go back to experience their Santorini inspired hotel.
